KRCG Campsites
TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR KERN RIVER CAMPGROUND - CAMPSITES
Applicant agrees to abide by the following terms and conditions in consideration of his/her/its reservation of Kern County Parks Department's grounds or facilities ("Agreement")
This is your campsite reservation confirmation.  Please print your confirmation and take it with you to the campground, to present upon arrival.  
Please read your confirmation carefully for your reservation details and campground Rules and Regulations. 
RESERVATIONS at Kern River Campground:  NO CASH IS ACCEPTED AT THE CAMPGROUND!!
Reservations are available any time prior to arriving at the campground, based on campsite availability, by calling the main office at 661-868-7000, then Press 1, then Press 3, then Press 2.  Payment for entire duration of stay must be made in full at the time of reservation. 
Campsites can still be rented on a first come/first serve basis, based on availability of campsites 7 days a week.
Campers are allowed to rent up to 2 campsites per date. Campers requesting more than 2 camp sites should call the main office. Requests on number of sites will be subject to availability and discretion of Department staff.
RESERVATION FEES: ONE VEHICLE COMES WITH RENTAL OF THE CAMPSITE - FEES APPLY FOR 2ND VEHICLE:     $7.00 Second Vehicle/per night - Non-Peak Season/$11.00 Second Vehicle/per night - Peak Season
$12.00 per campsite/per night - Non-Peak Season / $24.00 per campsite/per night - Peak Season
$8.00 Registration/Reservation Fee, non-refundable/per campsite
$7.00 Transfer Fee, non-refundable/per campsite
To Transfer or Cancel a reservation, please call 661-868-7000, and press 1, then press 3, then press 2.
No refunds will be issued for cancellation of a reservation,  only credit towards a future stay, for up to one year.  Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours prior to date of stay. There is an $8.00 non-refundable Reservation Fee per cancellation. Please contact the main office for details. 
Additional fees may apply upon arrival at the campground.  Pay for any additional fees promptly upon arrival.  The Camp Host or Rangers will be around to ensure that fees have been paid.
ADDITIONAL FEES:  - CREDIT CARD ONLY, NO CASH ACCEPTED.
$5.00/per dog/per night (Limit 2 dogs per campsite)
$5.00 Overflow Vehicle Parking / per night
$7.00 Second Vehicle/per night - Non-Peak Season  / $11.00 Second Vehicle/per night - Peak Season
$10.00 Dump Station Fee, no charge with a campsite rental
PARK RULES & REGULATIONS:
NO EARLY CHECK-IN ALLOWED - NO EXCEPTIONS.
Check-in time is 2pm.  Check-out time is 12 pm. 
Quiet hours are 10pm-7am. Music and Generators must be turned off at 10pm.
LIMIT 8 PEOPLE MAXIMUM PER CAMPSITE IS STRICTLY ENFORCED, NO EXCEPTIONS. 
Limit 2 VEHICLES per campsite - NO Exceptions.  Visitors must park in the overflow parking lot. No vehicles are allowed on the grass.
Limit 2 dogs per campsite.  Keep dogs on a leash.  Cleanup after your dog.
Please be considerate of your neighbors.  No noise beyond 50 foot radius of picnic table, including music.
NO HAMMOCKS or swings on ropes hanging from trees.
NO LITTERING.  It is unlawful to litter upon public property, and may result in a fine up to $1000, CA Penal Code 374.4
Please note:  Violation of any campground and/or park rules is grounds for eviction and possible criminal charges.

INDEMNIFICATION
Applicant agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless County and County's board members, elected and appointed officials, officers, employees, agents, boards and commissions, volunteers and authorized representatives ("County Indemnified Parties") from any losses, liabilities, charges, damages, claims, liens, causes of action, awards, judgments and costs, including attorneys' fees of County Counsel and outside counsel retained by County, expert fees, costs of staff time, and investigation costs ("Claims") which arise out of or relate to any activity, act or omission of Applicant or Applicant's officers, employees, agents, vendors and sub-vendors, security guard services, users and sub-users, guests and subcontractors of any tier hired by Applicant, and the agents of any of the forgoing ("Applicant's Representatives"), in connection with activities of the event (including set up and tear down of the event) and/or under the terms of this Agreement. This indemnification obligation shall include bodily and personal injury or death to any person damage to any property, regardless of where located, including the property of County and any worker's compensation Claim arising from or relating to Applicant's activities for the event and/or under the terms of this Agreement.
COMPLIANCE
I am responsible for compliance with all terms of this Agreement. If the actual number of people attending the event is more than that specified on the Reservation Request Form, I understand that my event may be shut down. Any fees for additional use, cleaning, damages and others will be deducted from any deposit on file for the event.  COUNTY's duty to provide facilities to Applicant is expressly contingent on County's ability to fund personnel and services necessary to administer and/or maintain its various facilities. In the event budget funds are not available or are reallocated to other areas within the County and its Parks Department, or are reallocated by County after this Agreement is executed, fees have been collected and usage is scheduled, this Agreement shall be immediately terminated or suspended as of the date the funds are or become unavailable, and the County shall have no further obligation to Applicant under

ELECTRICAL HOOKUPS: ATTENTION !! ONLY ONE RV CAN USE THE ELECTRICAL HOOKUP AT ONE TIME - NO EXCEPTIONS !! NO spider boxes allowed. NO trailer-to-trailer hookup allowed.***Campers will be held liable and charged to repair a damaged electrical unit due to misuse.***
WATERING SCHEDULE: Watering of the campsites is done Monday thru Thursday. Please ensure that you do not set up in the watering zone of the campsite or your belongings will get wet. Kern County Parks is not responsible for camper's items that get wet from being in the watering zone at your campsite. (Please see the map that was given to you went you arrived for more information and the location of the wet zones.)
CHECK OUT TIME: 12:00PM - NO EXCEPTIONS - NO OVER-STAY IS ALLOWED. Strictly enforced. Late check out is not allowed. Please be respectful of incoming campers. Campers that overstay past the 12:00PM check out time will be fined.
TO EXTEND YOUR STAY: If you would like to extend your campsite reservation please contact the front gate staff at 661-868-7025 or visit the BV Gate. BV Gate staff will determine whether or not there is an incoming camper and whether or not your reservation can be extended. CHECK IN TIME: 2:00PM (If you arrive after the gate closes, please bring your license plate numbers for all vehicles on site, boat and/or personal watercraft registration numbers with you to the front gate before 9:00AM the following morning to check-in.)
No Refunds are given at the BVARA gate office. No Refunds for Day Use, Boat Day Use, Overnight Parking, Second Vehicle Parking or Dog Fees.
LIMIT 2 CAMPSITES PER CUSTOMER, PER DATE. Only one waterfront campsite and one non-waterfront campsite is allowed, per customer, per date - no exceptions.
CANCELLATIONS AND TRANSFERS: The deadline to cancel a reservation is 72 HOURS IN ADVANCE and the deadline to transfer a reservation is 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE of the check-in date and time. Please notify the Buena Vista Gate at 661-868-7025 or e-mail us at bvgate@kerncounty.com. Cancellations and Transfers cannot be made on-line. The following fees will apply:
$8.00 NON-REFUNDABLE RESERVATION FEE (applies to all reservations) $7.00 TRANSFER FEE, per campsite to transfer reservation dates or sites. $30.00 CANCELLATION FEE, per campsite cancelled.

VEHICLES/PARKING-Non-refundable: A maximum of 2 motor vehicles may park on the campsite. The campsite fees include the main motor vehicle only. A second motor vehicle may park on site for an additional fee ($15.00 - Peak Season $12.00 - Non-Peak) per night. All additional vehicles park in the overnight vehicle parking lot for $7.00 per night.
